Next2Wild is first and foremost an enterprise fueled by passion. Next2Wild was first conceived in the year 2015 with the sole aim to connect small and independent producers from Kerala to the world of consumers with discerning choice. Be it honey, turmeric, oil or even something as simple yet essential as soap, consumers, it seems, are being deliberately bogged down and subsequently misled by jargon and false claims. Separating the kernel from the chaff, so to speak, has become a tiresome effort.
Next2wild’s mission is to provide as much information about the product, producers as well as the entire production life-cycle to our consumers so that they feel empowered enough to judge the quality of our products, or anybody else’s product for that matter, first-hand. To this end, Next2Wild is in a constant pursuit of native and traditional practices and the reasoning behind those practices. The ubiquitous use of curry leaves in south Indian cuisine or the nature of popular medias love-hate relationship with coconut oil and it’s health benefits are all topics worth exploring.
Founder

Anoop – can claim to be to be a Mumbaikar more than anything else. His ancestral roots though kept tugging at him to come back. It overwhelmed him eventually on just another summers day in 2010. A few months later he found himself in his ancestral home with a modest land-holding trying to gain first-hand knowledge of what it means to be a son of the soil. This pursuit of traditional practices led him to many corners of the state. Here he met with many of the generation which still believed in the traditional knowledge, knowledge passed only be word-of-mouth. He also met with small but irrepressible group of fellow enthusiasts with similar ambitions.
Over various periods of this journey he was a paddy farmer, cattle-herder, toolsmith, harvester, etc. The need to know the entire life-cycle of a produce and how various elements at various stages impact the final product is unquenching. He has been diligently documenting many of his pursuits through his blog naturalfarmerskerala.com.
